    Hi guys!
Even if I really love wpforms, there’s some strange things happening on my website:
Looking on GTmetrix Waterfall for this page, I’ve two 404 scripts from wpforms : first is /wpforms-lite/assets/lib/jquery.inputmask.min.js-beta.29, second one is wpforms-lite/assets/pro/lib/jquery.payment.min.js
I don’t undersatand why the plugin try to load a beta version for the first one, and why does it try to load a ‘pro’ asset as I just use the lite version.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @pcescato,

Sorry about the trouble you are facing here! I’ll double check this with the development team and will get back to you soon with an update.

    Thanks,

    Hi @pcescato,

Thank you for your patience here! On checking, this looks like a bug a for the wpforms-lite/assets/pro/lib/jquery.payment.min.js. — This file should not be loading at all in Lite. This only happens when global assets is enabled in the settings. We have reported this bug and will get back to you soon with an update here.

For the /wpforms-lite/assets/lib/jquery.inputmask.min.js-beta.29 — This is correct and not an issue but we are not sure about it giving a 404 error.

We are not able to replicate the 404 error for that file but to clarify why it’s “beta”, this is just the current release/tag that is being used and what WPForms are using in the core files.

We understand how beta might seem unstable but it’s quite stable and just wanted to clarify that this is a 3rd party library that operates on a different release schedule. At the time, this was the latest release and we’ve done extensive testing to make sure there are no issues with this version and it’s completely stable.

Prior to updating to 5.0.7-beta29 we’ve been using 5.0.6-beta20 (changelog)

    Hope this helps!

    Hi, thanks for answer!

This only happens when global assets is enabled in the settings.

You’re right, I removed it disabling global assets.
I understand that you use stable beta version, but this file is gaving me a 404 error… I still don’t know why.
Let me know if there’s some change in days.
