• One of the problems I have with using the native media upload is that it stores the media in a deep rooted directory path. For example:

    /wp-content/uploads/2015/07/…

I have my own media folder I access via ftp but it would be so much easier if there was a plugin that added extra functionality to the WP native media options tab. One that allowed me to customize which directory folder I store my media in. I also store my media in a directory outside of WordPress for an extra layer of security.

Is there such a plugin that does this, or is there a benefit in faster load time by having the hierarchy that WordPress uses?

    Thanks in advance
