    @kelly071 – In most cases the only reason this option is not displayed is due to the site being in a Multisite installation. To change that path in Multisite installs you will need to use the Network Plugins options page for the Gallery.

    Thanks!

    Hello Cais,
    Many thanks of your response. Yes – it is a multisite install. How do I access that network plugins options page?

    Many thanks

    @kelly071 – You will need to log in with your “super” administrator account and then you can access the Network plugins menu via the menu at the top of the page. If you are not a “super” administrator on the account you will need to ask one of them to do this.

    Look under Network Admin > Plugins > Gallery …

    Thanks!

    Hi Cais,

    Super administration login also does not provide this option. We have solidly searched under your instructions and else where on the plugin menu on super admin dashboard.

    Only one of the our sites is using the Nextgen Gallery. It is this site that we need to establish a path for saving images.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks

    @kelly071 – Do you have NextGEN Gallery Network activated?

    – Cais.

    Hi Photocrati

    I am working with Kelly on this. I have enabled the plugin at the network level and can see the option there to set the custom location where to store the galleries.

    However when I set that location to our custom content location and then create a new gallery in one of the sites in the multisite install the location ignores that custom content location.

    Custom content location = /content/sites
    Gallery gets created in /wp-content/uploads/sites

    All your help much appreciated

    Thanks
    Darren

    @theinsideleft – Have you looked at setting the path via the following:

    define( 'NEXTGEN_GALLERY_IMPORT_ROOT', dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/'  );
    define( 'NGG_IMPORT_ROOT', dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/' );

    – Cais.

    Hi thanks for your reply but this did not fix the issue. Sorry for my late reply. I have used another plugin for this problem. Thanks
