Storefront Child Theme – Colours are not changing in header and footer,

Hi,
I have just installed the child theme of storefront and activated that. I was changing the color of the header and footer of the child theme as parent theme but its not changing.
Its not allowing me to change the colours of the hearders and footers ?? because of that I cant use child theme.

Just few min bk i have discuss mailer issue with hostgator and they have fixed the issue. now my customers are getting mail for their registrations and for their orders.
so, now i just have issue with shipping cost. I have set the zone as india and kept flat rate of Rs.50 but its now showing in the cart. Is this issue has been fixed I am ready to go ??
if you have any suggestions for to resolve this issue, plz let me know..
