HELP! I was trying to delete all orders before 2019 using Store Toolkit and the website crashed and I came back to find 2,000 orders from the past year deleted for no reason. I don’t know what to do and I’m freaking out as that amounts to thousands of dollars. I don’t know if I have backups too

  • Hi @wintertechnology

    Thanks for reaching out!

First of all, I apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the unexpected deletion of orders. I understand how important these orders are to your business.

To begin with, it’s essential to check if you have any backups available. If you’re unsure about having backups, you can check with your web hosting provider as they usually perform regular backups of the websites they host. If you find a backup from before the issue occurred, you can restore the website to that point, and your orders should be recovered.

In case you don’t have any backups, you can try the following steps to recover your orders:

    1. Check the Trash under WooCommerce > Orders > Trash. Click on it to see if your deleted orders are present there. If you find the orders, you can select them and click on Restore to recover them.
    2. Use a Database Recovery Tool: If your orders are not in the Trash, you can try using a database recovery tool like WP-DBManager or WP-Optimize. These plugins can help you repair and optimize your WordPress database, potentially recovering your lost orders.
    3. Contact Store Toolkit Support: As you mentioned that you were using the Store Toolkit plugin to delete orders, you can also reach out to their support team for assistance. They might have encountered similar issues before and could guide you through the recovery process.

    Hope this helps!
