I would like to organize my stores into categories. The store list will show PRODUCT categories. Is there a way to create STORE categories?

All stores sell the same product (Calendar) but we have different types of storess – Lions Clubs, Schools, Individuals, etc

I have tried both of the category options in the shortcode but neither work – I can show the category search but not just one category.

Please?install this plugin to your site –?https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hPz_-I7AkdDxG_ILJdi4g6xWLmTQQFUA/view?usp=sharing

Create your categories from WCFM Admin Setting -> Store Categories.

You will have this new filter under the Store List page.

Vendors allowed to choose “Store Categories” during registration and also may change later from WCFM Dashboard -> Profile -> Store Categories?

Now, suppose you have created a category “Food” and want to create a store page specifically for “Food” category vendors.

Then you have to create a page using short code – [wcfm_stores store_category=”SET CATEGORY ID HERE”]

SET CATEGORY ID HERE – you will find this under store category setting.

Thank you – I was able to update all of my vendors and have the Category filter added to the store list – works great – just one question…

When I add a new vendor I do not see the option for Store Category. Was I supposed to turn it on somewhere? I do all new vendor setup from Marketplace – sold by – add new.

Are you adding new vendor as Admin?

If so, then you will not see this option during add.

After adding a vendor you will able to assign store categories from Vendor Manager – Profile

Yes – I am adding all vendors as Admin. Thank you for confirming the option is not visible. I thought I had missed it somehow. Maybe fix this someday? Not a big problem.

    Good night!

I tried this, but the field to set the category ID is not working. When I click on the field, i can’t write anything. How can I solve this problem?

You can not write there. Save categories, ID will be auto generated.

That worked! Another question: is it possible to display the category of the store in the store list?

    Hello,

Could you please add the following features :

    • for several categories ? (for ex. [wcfm_stores store_category=”1,5,6,7”]
    • to exclude some categories ? (for ex. [wcfm_stores store_category_excludes=”1,5,6,7”]

    Thanks

Hi, I have vendors as retail and wholesale store owners, they chose their store categories as wholesale or retail at the time of registration. I want to who these two categories on different pages. I have call to action buttons on the home page as retail and whole sale here is the link. https://akkashop.ch/

I want to display retail vendors only when the user click on retail, and wholesale vendors only when the user click on wholesale bautton.

Kindly resolve my query ASAP. thank you

Webkul’s WooCommerce Multi Vendor Marketplace handles this issue very well. I’m not promoting anyone’s products, I do use their products on another non WP platform but I’m not really happy with their apps… Their Woocommerce plugin is a bit skinny, but this is one feature they do well and I don’t know why other multi-vendor plugins don’t handle this feature better. I landed here because I was looking for this feature for another WP site.

since I’m already here, how many categories is admin able to create? would 100 be too many? I would have prefered if the categories for the vendors were came from Woocommerce categories.
