• Hi there, I seem to have an oddly specific cache issue.

In the last week, I’ve discovered that when the first product of a session is added to the cart, if the user then visits the cart within a 30-second window, the cart is shown as empty (though the cart widget says otherwise). If the user waits 30 seconds, the product appears in the cart.

This only happens on the very first product to go into the cart for that session. Any other products after that are fine.

I’ve tracked this bug down to being caused by GTM, as deactivating the plugin fixes the issue. Can this please be looked in to? I prefer this plugin, but will have to be looking into others in the meantime.

    Hi Michelle,

You also contacted me via my website, let’s discuss this via email and get back to this forum thread with any solution we’ve found

I think I have the same problem!

    Did you find a solution?

Hi! Tom was wonderfully helpful with this.

We actually narrowed it down to the Google Analytics property for the site had somehow become corrupted (this does happen, whether it’s in the setup, or just randomly).

A fresh site account and property fixed it all up. While this was a pain in terms of data recording, we could still keep the old account and manually check data against it with the new account and property.

    Tom’s GTM works perfectly.

Kind of weird problem though. I’ll try this!

    Thanks!
