I have entered the Google Maps API Key and I can create maps and add them to the Shipping Zone, but I don’t think the geolocation is working.

I get this error when I ‘Test Store Address Geolocation’:

    STORE ADDRESS NOT OK!
    [{“address_components”:[{“long_name”:”Ivy Mead”,”short_name”:”Ivy Mead”,”types”:[“route”]},{“long_ ……..

    This is what I get:

Geocoding Service: This API project is not authorized to use this API. For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key

DevTools failed to parse SourceMap: chrome-extension://hdokiejnpimakedhajhdlcegeplioahd/sourcemaps/onloadwff.js.map
DevTools failed to parse SourceMap: chrome-extension://eakacpaijcpapndcfffdgphdiccmpknp/scripts/content_page.map

In the meantime I’ve input exactly the address you suggested but still got ‘not ok’.

    Any tips?

    Thanks

Ok, I’ve finally made it work. Geocoding service wasn’t working. Thanks!

Kept testing this further and I’m still struggling with triggering the right delivery options for most addresses I’ve tested. Most of the times they don’t get recognised as valid.

I had set up a 7 km radius around my restaurant. Tested several addresses within that radius and only a couple of them worked properly. It’s not reliable enough for me to roll it out to customers as it is. Is there anything that can be done to improve the validation of Portuguese addresses? I guess that’s probably the issue.

    Thanks once again.

Here is an example of a UK address

    Mere Fish Farm
    Ivy Mead
    Mere
    Warminster
    BA12 6EN

Hi there, it seems to work in the UK only if there is a business at the address, or on addresses with house numbers, so if I use the same address but with the next-door house, say Elveston, Ivy Mead, Mere, Warminster BA12 6EN, it doesn’t work.

I am using this page to test addresses:

    https://www.192.com/places/ba/ba12-6/ba12-6en/

If I copy and paste the addresses to the query on https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/intro
    they work.

But the don’t seem to be pickup up by the plugin.

Yes, but if you carfully Elveston is not picked-up, just the Ivy Mead road. It might be a good idea for the plugin to open up “route” as acceptable matches for the UK. It’s always a trade-off between a deliverable address in the correct zone and missed addresses.

That would be fine for me. The most important thing would be 100% geocoding of addresses, even if it is out by 1km, it would be acceptable. How do I do that?

Will make new release with UK rules updated.

    Fantastic, thank you.

Hi my address in Australia does not work.
Is the STORE ADDRESS IS NOT OK error referring to the store address set in the general settings of Woo Commerce?
    Thanks,
    Inna

    Yes it is.
