• I am trying to prevent further pingbacks to posts as they are usually scams and having a problem.
I select all posts and go to bulk edit to change “Pings” to “DO Not Allow” but on clicking Update I get:
The resource you are looking for has been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.

Can anyone suggest why this might be?

  • How many posts are marked when you select “all posts”?

    Over 300.

Reduce it to 20 via Appeareance options as described here:

    Appearance Menus Screen

And try again. My guess is that using 300 posts limits your hosting. If you reduce the number, it should work. If you want to increase the limits of your hosting, you would have to contact your hoster.

You are right. Thanks. I reduced the number selected to 50 and it worked. So just needed to do that 7 times!

I’m glad I could help you. Remember to adjust the setting for new posts or you will have to do this again and again. The checkbox can be found under Settings > Discussion.

Could you please mark the topic as solved?
