Stopped Working with 4.4 Update

Devin – it is not the case as my account (admin) is not cached. I cleaned all the cache now anyway and you can check it again.

Are you not on 4.4? I’m not seeing any output for the rel tag so the plugin wouldn’t be able to find the images with the last change I did.

If you aren’t on WordPress 4.4 switching back to 3.3.0.4 would “fix” things until I can re-test for pre 4.4 compatability and add a backwards fix to the new version. Everything worked perfect till upgrading to WP 4.4

Can I get a list of plugins active on sites and what settings are set in the Lightbox plugin?

I’ll try and replicate the issue. So far on all my test sites I can’t get a setup where the plugin doesn’t work. Once I can duplicate it a fix will be quick to follow ??

I just updated 3.0.6 to 3.0.6.1 – no change.

On my very small (fresh) website it works with new images, but it doesn’t work at all with galleries.

Cache was cleared.

Plugin options (I list them from top to bottom): checked x 3, 80%, unchecked, checked, 0, 400, empty.

I have a ton of plugins, but I don’t think the problem would be with any of those:

You plugin settings are default I think, from the top 2 checked, 2 unchecked, 1 checked.

So I will stop upgrading now, maybe when the next version comes. Two other, but small issues remain – not minified js and escape key not working on closing the lightbox.

I’ve re-added in the original way the plugin added the rel tag and so that it both adds it in when not there and will also augment for any new images that get added.

This *should* cover all cases including galleries. I did some local and live tests on 4.3, 4.4 with galleries, single images, and older images from posts.

If anyone is available to test before I push out another update that would be very helpful ??

The 3.6.0.2 fix seems to be working on https://www.theshelterblog.com, after having disabled my JavaScript fix.

It works in my site with galleries. I don’t have any “free-standing” images to test, but if I add a new image to post, it doesn’t work now, while it worked both with 3.0.6 and with 3.0.6.1.

When inserting a single image it has sth like “attachment wp-att-28” in the “Link rel” field. If I manually remove the contents of this field, it works fine.

Do you have a link I can take a look at?

Can you make sure that your image added to a new post has a link selected as an option pointing to the image as well.

I updated the gist again with an additional check for another edge case I found. See if that fixes things for you @freddie Chopin.

Here’s a preview – the first two images are part of a gallery, the third one is a single image. It has “link to” set to “media file” and the “Link Rel” field is automatically filled by WordPress with “attachment wp-att-28”. If I remove that, then the lightbox works.
