    Hi there,

It seems the plugin stopped working on a Multisite. Can you tell me of this is indeed the case? Our tracking is declining over the last week. The last days no data is gathered via GA4.

I don’t know how but some the required settings have been removed. It looks like the GTM container is not registered anymore.

Please go to ‘GTM Kit > General > Container’ and check that the GTM Container ID is registered.

    Hi Torben,

We reactivated the plugin. Sorry for that.

I have just tested the site and all the events are firing and showing in GTM Tag Assistant. If you are not receiving data in Analytics it may be caused by your container configuration. GTM trigger based on consent would be the first place to look.

Thanks for the fantastic service! We will test as well. It’s unclear to me how the plugin stopped working. But we will do more research from our end.

Hi Torben, works great on our Dutch site. On the order site in our netwerk setup the plugin doesn’t seem to load.

Please submit support data from that site. Go to ‘GTM Kit > Help > Support > Share system data with the GTM Kit support team’ and enter the support ticket: FS812-30097

This is not possible unfortunately. The page does not load. Only a loader (svg class components-spinner css-1yxc2ud ea4tfvq2) is shown.

There was a bug in the latest release that could corrupt the settings in multisite installations. Please update GM Kit to version 1.23.1, which has just been released.

Unfortunately, you must manually remove the corrupted settings from the database. Are you comfortable with removing entries directly in the database?

    If so, follow these steps:

    • Deactivate the GTM Kit plugin.
    • Open the database and locate the options table for the site, likely named wp_X_options, where X is the ID of the site.
    • Delete the entries ‘gtmkit’ and ‘gtmkit_version’.
    • Reactivate the GTM Kit plugin and reconfigure the settings as needed.

If you are not comfortable with editng the database I will find another solution.

    Hi Torben,

Thanks! I will delete the entries. Keep you posted.

It seems deleting these entries is harder than I thought. Is this other solution doable for you guys?

I have created a plugin that will reset the settings for you. Please download and install this plugin on the site that needs the settings reset: https://we.tl/t-1Ac9WTAlFc.

The plugin will create a menu under “GTM Kit.” Go to ‘GTM Kit > Reset Settings’ and click the reset button. Once you have done this, the settings will be reset and you will be redirected to the container page where you need to enter your GTM Container ID and adjust the settings as needed.

You must only do this for the sites in the multisite installation where GTM Kit is not working.

Delete the plugin when you are done, as it may not work with future versions of GTM Kit.

    Hi Torben,

Thanks for the great service! It works now. The GTM tag can now also be installed on Belgian site.
