Stopped Working after update to Version 2.0.0

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONTENT_DECODING_FAILED on.

that’s an odd error that others have reported here. I just released a patch on the GitHub repo, with a fix for the issue reported above. Can you download and install this version from GitHub on your server and let me know if that fixes your error. I will then deploy it on WP.org.

just released v2.0.1 can you please check on your setup to see if it works for you.

Please make sure you upgrade to v2.0.1 before you move to the latest version. v2.0.1 fixes some DB issues from v2.0.0. Once you have v2.0.1 working (load your reorder page to make sure it works), then you can proceed to upgrade to the latest version.

sorry for not answering. Thank you for that! We are updating the Plugin, whenever there is a new version coming out. Sadly, till today – we always have to downgrade to Version 1.8.1. It just does not display the right order. In the Backend too. If we choose the Category, the Plugin does not show the right Articles. Old ones. So we reset – update – refresh – clear cache and so on. Then there are the right Articles, but not in the right order…

So we just accept to stick with this Version.

not any more, but we used to. Only leftovers are in the Database. The usual tables, which were not deleted. We use Gamipress now for Restrict Content… Unfortunately we can’t disable Plugins on our live site, to see which one could cause this issue. I did install it on our dev Site. But it is the same there – without Gamipress activated, I see completely different Articles as in the Category itself – Cat= 8 Articles from Cars – ReOrder = 12 Articles from Houses…

I have never used Gamipress. What is Restrict Content? Is this another plugin?

How are you your posts in your categories related to GamiPress? Are the display of posts controlled by the GamiPress?

sorry that I did not reply.

We tried a couple of times to update without success. Gamipress with restrict content does not affect the order. It just displays a certain amount of content. The users have to login to see the rest.

We just need your plugin to order in a category which will output a RSS for a newsletter tool. So, not essential for the whole website.

no – this is not the Issue. It has nothing to do with Gamipress.
As I mentioned, I did test it on our dev without GP.

I will look into it over time on our dev Installation again, when I have time. I will provide you with updates.

But for now – with 1.8.1 it is working as it should. So no worries here.
