    What is showing on the console? It sounds like the JavaScript is breaking somehow.

    Are you using a shortcode or a widget?

    Please email me on [email protected]

    PS: What format of tweet are you displaying?

    I have exactly the same issue. I’ll send you an email.

    Thanks.

    Emailed you my short code with parameters.

    Forgot to mention that if I add width: 100%; to my css for the rotatingtweets_format_1 class, it fixes the stacked letters.

    Still stuck on first tweet though (doesn’t rotate).

    Thanks for quick responses.

    No email yet. Can one or both of you post the short-code you are using? (Or the settings if you’re using a widget?).

    And/or the HTML of one of the Tweets that appears on the page with the problem?

    Martin,

    (I sent two separate emails and they didn’t bounce so I’m not sure what’s going on.)

    Here’s how I add the shortcode in one of my template parts…

    <?php echo do_shortcode( "[rotatingtweets screen_name='clemsonit' official_format='1' links_in_new_window='1' rotation_type='scrollUp' speed='3000' timeout='6000' url_length='12']" ) ?>

    And here is source for the first two tweets…

    <div class='rotatingtweets rotatingtweets_format_1' id='rotatingtweets_6000_scrollUp_548a387cf29ee'>

    I’ve used the same shortcode on my machine and there are no obvious problems. Have you installed any other plugins recently?

    If you look at the HTML, are there any of the ‘normal’ problems that sometimes happen with other plugins – e.g. jQuery being installed more than once – or jquery.cycle being installed more than once?

    If you open the Console (normally [F12] and then click on ‘Console’) do you see any error messages?

    Which version of jQuery Cycle are you using on the settings page? And what happens if you use the other one?

    (@mpntod)

    And one more for luck… which browser are you using?

    (I’ve just tried the site of someone who has the same and it’s fine in Chrome!)

    Do you have an emoticon in one of the Tweets that comes after the one that you’re displaying?

    What happens if you add no_emoticon=1 to the shortcode or try the development version of the plug-in?

    Alternatively, what messages do you see if you set define('WP_DEBUG',true); in your wp-config.php file?

    Martin,

    Seems to be working after I tried your suggestion to change jquery.cycle to version 2 (beta).

    Also stepped through all of your other suggestions to be sure but none of those made any difference. Emoticon attribute made no difference, no error messages in console, no evident issues in debug mode and yes, I’m using Chrome.

    Thanks for your responsiveness. I’m still here if you want me to try anything else for troubleshooting.
