stopped working after 1.3.4 upgrade

The problem seems very different. The new posts after 1.3.4 upgrade show the featured image as it should, but old posts do not show at all.
I tried many things such as activating / deactivating plugin clearing cache etc, nothing worked. I moved back to 1.3.3 for time being….but will appreciate a solution
