• This was a decent plugin when it worked, but now it doesn’t.

Even when using updated latest Chrome I get the warning and now I get the following code above it :

    user_agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/38.0.2125.104 Safari/537.36
    name: Google Chrome
    short_name: chrome
    version: 38
    platform: mac
    pattern: #(?Version|Chrome|rv)[/ |:]+(?[0-9.|a-zA-Z.]*)#

If they fix it (and maybe make it a little prettier?) I will update my review. But for now downloader beware! Thanks.

    Hi,

The “code above” that you see is the debug code the plugin prints out if you have activated debugging in the plugin settings. Also, the debug is only visible for logged in users, so your regular visitors will not see it.
To remove it, login and changed the debug setting.

For the future, would be much appreciated if you report any issues in the support section so they can get fixed before giving 1 star review.

I did not have any issues with that user agent string when I tested the plugin before the last update, but I will look at it again. Aslo, if you use any cache plugins on your site, please clear all the caches as that sometimes cause faulty blocking after updating the plugin.

    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I never turned that debug on before (it has never shown before either), does it automatically turn on after updating the plugin?

As for cache plugins, I don’t use those… unless one of my plugins does it and I don’t realize. My co-workers and I have been having the problem of up to date browsers (particularily Chrome) getting blocked incorrectly for over a month which is why I had to stop using the plugin. We are a business and can’t have a plugin blocking our site for potential clients.

The one star rating is just to warn people that the plugin, at least for me, is not working right now. Its nothing personal, the plugin worked fine before this. Thank you for your hard work and giving us all a handy free plugin.

The debug should not turn on on update, it is off as default. So I can’t say what happened there.

The plugin should work fine for you know. You saw the overlay due to the debug being on, none of your visitor should have seen it.

Let me know if you experience any other problems.
