Stopped working

    I loved this plug-in, but it seems to have stopped working on my site. Getting a ton of spam comments, many in Russian and most containing several links.

    I moderate all comments, so it’s more of a hassle, but I’m getting 20-30 new spam comments a day.

    I’ve included a link to one of the blog entries that gets spam comments, but it happens on any of the blog posts.

    Thanks for reaching out, @jeffkoke!

    It looks like the WP Core recently changed the comment_type value for normal comments, which effectively prevented any of Sock’Em’s extra tests from running.

    I just put out a new release (1.0.1) that should fix the issue. Please upgrade to that and let me know how it goes! I’ll leave this ticket open in the meantime.

    (PS I submitted a test comment to your example post; that can be safely deleted now. Sorry for adding to your moderation woes! Haha.)

    Great service! I just updated the plug-in & will let you know if it’s working after a few days.
