• can you add an option to turn off the UPDATED! SEE WHAT’S NEW!!

I’m sure some people might find it useful, but I always check the changelog before updating a plugin, and would prefer not to have this notification show up every time there is an update.

The new nag has become vaguely like an annoying fly in the room when one is trying to concentrate. Can’t be bothered to swat it, would prefer just to open the window and let it fly away..

So, a feature [ *removal ] request, I guess.. thanks for providing the tool, it is useful.

  • I find the feature really useful as I have a very bad memory. Everytime I update the plug-in (see below) I instantly forget I have done so – so it’s helpful to be reminded – constantly.

I just wish every plugin creator would follow suit. Just think how wonderful that would be!

It’s also worth adding how grateful I am that Yoast always push out updates full of bugs, life would be so boring otherwise.

Keep up the good work guys!!!

I wasn’t asking for it to be removed permanently, simply a request to give people a choice to turn it off.

It most certainly would not be wonderful if every single plugin developer did this.

Can you imagine if you do a bulk update, and are then presented with nags for every single one?

All I’m suggesting, is that it would be nice to have a choice.

If you have an admin stylesheet in your theme, you can hide it with a little CSS…

Thanks @matt Brett, although this is again beside the point…

It’s easy to hide stuff, but why should I have to write code to switch off?

A thing which some people would prefer to disable.

I’m not the only one to express this, although the other grumbles I’ve heard, so far, have been in chat rooms and forums..

I am not asking the developers to remove this thing for everyone. I’m simply asking them to give people a choice.

I am also very appreciative of the fact that this plugin is free, and powerful. I recommend it everywhere I go. Fantastic plugin.

It is simply a feature request, asking the developers to give people an option to hide this new nag (by ticking a box in the settings), because for some people, it is irritating. How hard can this be?… Not difficult at all.

Can’t be bothered to swat it, would prefer just to open the window and let it fly away..
