I used to have a few charts on my site, that were getting data from a remote database server through SQL queries that were sent by two filter functions (one for the series and one for the data) in functions.php. That was the suggested way to do it in the past, by the plugin author.

Today I realized that the charts are not working anymore and this must be the case for quite some time now (It is a site I do not check frequently). I guess that at some point (update) this ability was removed, and moved to a paid plan. At least this is what I understand from the table in section 3 on this page:

    https://docs.themeisle.com/article/428-visualizer-charts-and-graphs-documentation

Is it still possible to make charts using data from a remote database by defining the dataset (series and data) in the functions.php file?

    Hi @kokkoras,

You are correct, the ability to get data from an external database has been moved to the features of the PRO version and is no longer available with the free version of Visualizer.
