I realise most people are looking to maximise their earnings from ads but I’m just looking to covering my hosting costs. Is there a way to stop showing ads once an earnings limit has been reached (whether that be daily, weekly, or monthly)?

    Thanks ??

    Hi dpmcalister,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Your request is a bit unusual, because most people are trying to earn as much money as possible. I can understand your intention very well. unfortunately, we don’t have a really suitable solution for this niche problem, but I can provide you with two workarounds that might help you get closer to your result.

    Content Age Display Condition

Utilize the Content Age condition in your placements and ensure that your recurring visitors see current content without ads. However, monetize older content that attracts the most traffic via search engines.

    Clicks Limits

Limiting ad clicks or ad impressions is a feature of the Tracking add-on. If you can estimate how much you earn on average per ad click, you could deduce how many ad clicks you need per day/week/month to get your expenses out. If an ad reaches the defined click limit, it will no longer be displayed for the specified period.

I know neither of these workarounds will completely solve your problem, but these two ways could get you as close as possible to the display setup described.

    Best regards,

    Joachim
