    How do I stop the system sending the mail to this customer?

    This doesn’t have anything to do with the Storefront theme, customer emails come from the WooCommerce plugin.

    If the user entered the wrong email address when checking out and creating an account, you’ll need to edit their user profile via Users > All Users and correct the email address there, and also edit their order and correct the email address under Billing Details.
