stop plugins menu showing new updates

  • On the plugins menu there is an icon (a box with the number of avalible updates). Now I have users who have the capability in wp to activate plugins so they see that icon but they don’t have the update_plugins capability so they can’t do anything about that icon. Any way to fix this so i will only show that to users with the update_plugins capability?

    I did report his on trac, Ticket #14447, but in the mean time I am looking for a way using a plugin to supress this for users without the update_plugins capability.
