Stop or suppress post creation when error occured

    Hi,

    I installed the plugin and everything works exception two things.
    1/ when an error occurs, the post is still created. How to prevent this ?
    2/ when an error occurs be cause of image’s size, when the user re-submit post with a good image, the image doesn’t displayed as a featured image. However, i checked this option in the plugin settings.

    Hello, these issues sound like a bug, as they normally should not happen. Are you able to check your error log and report any errors? That would help me to diagnose and fix any bugs or issues for the next plugin update. Thank you.

    The only errors i received when i enable the WP_DEBUG are the followings :
    Notice: Undefined index: user-submitted-url in /mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/user-submitted-posts/user-submitted-posts.php on line 105

    Notice: Undefined index: user-submitted-tags in /mywebsite/wp-content/plugins/user-submitted-posts/user-submitted-posts.php on line 106

    Thank you for the information, I will take a closer look and report back after the next plugin update. Also, please let me know the following (from your initial post):

    “1/ when an error occurs” … — exactly which error?
    “2/ when an error occurs” … — exactly which error?

    Knowing which errors will enable me to recreate the configuration and replicate any issue. Thanks.

    On the first use, i tried to upload an image with a size more than the limit authorized or configured in the plugin settings. I received the message error configured in the plugin settings.( the result page is the same page as my post submission page. Thus, i have my error message and my submission form). However, the post is still created.
    Then, if i re-tryed to upload an image with a good size. The post is created but my image not added as a featured image. However, i checked this option in the plugin settings. Now, if i reload my submission page and if i realized a new submission form with an image with a good size, no problem.

    Thank you, I do understand the issues you are having, but they are not something that happen normally. So while the descriptions you provide are useful, the actual errors (i.e., the name or message of the error itself) are what we really need to help diagnose and resolve any issues, bugs, or whatever.
