Stop notification to AUTO update the plugin

Hello Ariban,

I am sorry about the persistent notification. It is not expected that the notification will come back after you hide it. To understand better, does it come back after there is a new update of the Yoast SEO plugin or does it come back randomly? We’ll love to know more.

Did you click on the ‘eye with a slash’ logo to hide the notifications? If so, we would expect that it would be listed in the hidden notifications, but not to reappear as an active notification in your WordPress dashboard.

Could you provide us with a screenshot of what you are seeing from your end regarding this notification?

yes i clicked on teh eye with a slash and yes it was hidden and yes it comes back DAILY.
there is no point to send a screenshot as i just caved in and set yoast plugin to auto update, so its not showing that message anymore daily.
but it sucks that it did shows it
but from your response it sounds like it is not suppose to happen and maybe its not happening to everyone and somehow just happening to me.

Am seeing the same issue on one of my sites too.

I clicked the “eye” icon but the notification keeps coming back.
