• A similar question was asked by someone else 8 months ago (“Stop Header Image From Cropping/Stretching”), but it got no reply and is now closed.

I’ve been banging my head against this for hours, scoured the internet to no end and cannot find a solution.

I wanted to make the header image area smaller, so I found a way to shrink its height, using some custom CSS and changing the code as “height:50vh;”

I have an image 2000×1200, but when I use WP’s cropping tool to cut the top and bottom (which i don’t want, leaving the height i do want), the result is that the image gets zoomed in, and thus what should appear in the header is now outside the margins.

The person who posted the similar question tried “skip cropping”, but that did not help, WP still zoomed in.

    Help?
