stop generating thumbnails

Hi @tuhinbiswas98,

If you’re using the widget and/or the block you can have WPP use your stock thumbnails. To do so, under the “Display post thumbnail” checkbox pick the “Use predefined size” option, then select your desired thumbnail size, and save changes.

Use predefined size i have option idk what to pick its showing option like thumbnail, medium, large

in my site i use ThumbPress – Stop Generating Unnecessary Thumbnails

so just original upload pic i use as thumbnail….

i have select thumbnail but stil its Generating image

Try either of the available options and see what works best for you I guess. If none of the options work the way you want it to then you may have to create a new image size that fits your needs.

WordPress Popular Posts won’t generate any new thumbnails after enabling that option though so I’m not sure what you mean by “it’s still generating images.”

Existing thumbnails won’t be deleted so if that’s what’s worrying you you can delete those manually from the wp-content/uploads/wordpress-popular-posts folder or by using the “Empty image cache” button via Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools, under Data.
