Stop Ads from loading to Apple News

Hi –

I am at the stage of uploading three draft articles to News Publisher for approval by Apple.

My challenge is that my articles (as WordPress posts) include Ads, currently from WPAdCenter and soon to be Google AdSense. For Google Newsstand this is fine. However, for Apple News, the ads present as unlinked images.

I intend on using Apple advertising so I just want to know how best to stop the Ads from being included into the JSON file before being submitted to Apple News.

In reading the Wiki, GitHub help documentation / forum and this forum, my best guess is that a filter hook is needed, but I can’t figure out how to do that.

Here is an example of an article I intend to publish to Apple News.

My hope is that someone else has had to resolve this challenge and can give me some tips.
