• Hello,

Often, after your updates, the extra fields in your email ‘type and text’ sections, have default texts like: ‘Thanks for reading’ and ‘Congratulations on the sale!’.
I must go through all the email templates and add my own text because if I leave them empty, your default text will show.

Can you please stop adding and remove your default texts in your plugin and updates in the future?

    That would be great!

    Hi!

Thanks for posting! We’ve added a global off switch to our list. So it’s in the works!

    Cheers!

    Hi @dwnl,

Unfortunately I still do not have a set timeline. You can currently do this by overing templates, or removing the text. Though hopefully a global option will be available soon.

    Thank you for your patience!

    Kindly,

Those texts are from the Woocommerce plugin itself. And I have to put a space into the box of your plugin to delete them.
But if I change something in the woocommerce plugin mail themsels, like activate or deactivate an email I have to go into your plugin again and remove the text again…
    This is really irritating.

    Hell @dwnl,

In the email customizer, navigate to Footer > Additional Content. There is an option to Enable Additional Content, which you can disable to remove the text in the Additional Content area you mentioned.

(@ghernkadence) yes, but I do not want to disable it…

I just want it to stop that when I change something in the WooCommerce mail themself, like activate or deactivate an email that I have to go into your plugin again and remove the text again…
    This is really irritating.

    Hey @dwnl

Seems there might be some confusion about what you want and what we planned to add. Providing default text for emails is important for our users. No one expects to install a plugin like this and need to add all their own content, the idea is that you can edit content.

Perhaps you are talking about something specific, which is what we did do with the additional content area. This is an area that is part of Woocommerce core and shows in emails by default, in our latest versions, you can disable this whole area for all emails.

We don’t intend to create an option to disable the heading or body text since those are kind of necessary for emails.

Can you explain more about what exactly you are wanting to edit in your emails? Thanks!

    Ben
