    Hi,

    My site was down yesterday. I understood that since my backups were on a Google Drive for the moment and Google had had problems, the backups weren’t successful. This increased the server IO load and made the site almost inaccessible.

    How do I get the process to be released automatically when the backup is not successful after x minutes?

    Hi, i have already see that you have answer on an another post with this FAQ.
    But it’s not a good answer for my need and the problem.
    The FAQ explain how to manually stop a backup in progress.
    My need is to stop automatically a backup how take too much time or who can’t finish process. The last problem was on the night. I can’t be on my computer all the night ??

    Are you able to post your log file using pastebin?

    Normally, it should not hang like this as UpdraftPlus schedules a resumption. However, in this case, it’s possible that the resumption is not being triggered.

    It might be worth installing the free ‘WP Crontrol’ plugin. Once you have done this goto ‘Tools->Cron Events’? Are there any warning or error messages on that page?

    Please could you also try adding the following to your wp-config.php file:
    set_time_limit(900);
