• Hi,
when someone orders something which has a stock of say 1 and orders 2 items then the status should say -1. However in de cart and the mail it still says the in stock message.
    Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible to display a stock status of -1 when someone orders more items than are currently in stock. This can be achieved by enabling the “Allow backorders” option for your product inventory settings in WooCommerce.

When you set the “Allow backorders” option to “Allow,” the system will allow customers to place orders even when the stock quantity is insufficient. In this scenario:
In Cart and Emails the system will still display an “in stock” message even if the ordered quantity exceeds the available stock.

If you want to notify customers that they are ordering a product on backorder, you can set the “Allow backorders” option to “Allow, but notify customer.” This setting informs customers during the checkout process that the item is currently out of stock but can still be ordered.

I know what the possibilities are in standard woocommerce. I am asking if your plugin could provide the correct message in this case.
It is not showing the allow but notify message if 1 is in stock but 2 are ordered.

    Hi @katfrajoe

We have checked the issue, and it displays the backorder status.
Here is the attached explanation video showing how we display the status when a product is backordered.

I see where you are coming from. However for this to work the amount of stock should be shown for the customer to understand this.

We do not show the amount. So the customer only sees in stock and the message keeps the in stock message. It only shows the default backorder: amount message.
