Hello. Previously in the stock report feature in WC you could export a .csv file which had retail prices included. This was essential for our book keeping. Now we see you have removed this functionality and this is being replaced by WC analytics.

When we now go to WC Analytics > Stock, the data you can download has been greatly reduced. This certainly is not a step-forward. There is no retail price for example.

How do we download a stock report like previous with the following 3 columns? :

Article name, Quantity “in Stock”, Retail price

PS – ideally we would also need to be able to filter this information by year.

    Hi @dav74

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you want to download a stock report like the previous report having the following 3 columns: Article name, Quantity “in Stock”, Retail Price.

With the release of WooCommerce 4.0, these reports are being replaced. There is a new and better Analytics section available for users running WordPress 5.3+. Head on over to the WooCommerce Analytics or learn more about the new experience in the WooCommerce Analytics documentation.

The current Stock Report only shows these columns: Product / Variation, SKU, Status, Stock.

Since the Retail Price is not added here, you would need the help of some third-party plugins or a custom code to add this.

I did some research and found the Stock Exporter for WooCommerce plugin could be a good starting point.

In addition, since custom coding is outside our scope of support, I am leaving this thread open for a bit to see if anyone can chime in to help you out.

For questions related to development and custom coding, your best bet is to ask on any of these channels for support. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there, too.

    Hope this helps!

    Hello @xue28

Yes but that’s the whole point. You say there is a “new and better Analytics section available” but this is just not the case where stock reporting is concerned. You have removed the functionality stock reports had previously which is very frustrating. How is this at all better? This is a big step backwards.

We do not want to add more plugins to a system which is already bloated with plugins. Just please give us back our previous stock reporting ability!

I forgot to say thanks for your nice friendly reply! However, do please pass my comments back to the WooCommerce team to reinstate this important stock functionality they have kicked out.

I hear your frustration, and thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and enables us to implement improved functionality in the plugin.

This being said, if you have any suggestions on how to improve the WooCommerce core plugin, feel free to create an enhancement request?here. ??

I will go ahead and mark this thread as resolved then, however, feel free to?create a new topic?should you need any further help.
