stock quantity not dropping

    I have a client with over 10,000 products and when someone orders something the product is staying in the cart for someone else to purchase. Most of the products are rare and 1 only and we are using stock management. It says 1 in stock but does not remove it after purchase? I have tired again and again and cannot locate why this is happening.

    Any Suggestions!?
