stock quantities now have 7 decimal places!!!

all of a sudden my woocommerce variable stock quantities have 7 decimal places. eg: Stock no 2.0000000

I can;t figure out why or how to fix this.
There are forums with code to enable decimals in stock quantity but it hasn’t helped.
