Firstly, you won’t be able to see the problem on our website because sales have not opened yet for the current products. Our site uses the event ticket sales plugin Tickera with their Bridge for WooCommerce. They say that the present problem relates to WooCommerce and not their plugins.

I have set an inventory level of 133 for a particular product (a concert ticket). On testing, I find I can order 140 of these tickets with no error message. I do not know why this.

    Hi @majikthyse,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand you’re having an issue with your stock inventory limit not working as expected.

As a first step, please ensure that you’ve enabled ‘Stock Management’ option for the specific product and set the ‘Quantity’ to 133. This can be found in the Product data section under ‘Inventory’ tab of your product.

Secondly, check if you have set ‘Allow backorders?’ to ‘Do not allow’. This option is found in the same ‘Product data’ section under the ‘Inventory’ tab. If it’s set to ‘Allow’, it would allow customers to order more than the inventory level.

If these settings are correct, and you’re still facing the issue, it might be a conflict with another plugin. To isolate the issue, you can try disabling all other plugins and switching to a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four. If the problem persists, please let us know so we can help investigate further.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I have checked the settings you mentioned and they are all correct. I have a staging site where I can go through plugins and themes.

    Hi @majikthyse

Thank you for getting back to us and for confirming the settings.

It’s great that you have a staging site. Please disable all other plugins and switch to a default theme like Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four on your staging site. This will help us determine if a plugin or theme conflict is causing the issue.

Once you’ve done that, test the inventory level again. If the problem persists, it might be an issue that needs deeper investigation. Please let us know the outcome so we can assist you further.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
