    Hi

We have 2 problems that persist and are causing many problems.

    1) Orders that are processed and are in the “Pending Payment” and “Failure” status make a possible inventory reservation. But this reserve is not passed on to FRONT-END.

    Example:

Product X has 1 in stock. The first customer makes the purchase and the order is in “Pending Payment” or “Failure” status.

However, if a second customer is looking for this product, it is available in stock, visible on the FRONT END, but at the end of the order, he receives the information that he cannot proceed with the purchase because the product stock is 0.

In other words, it is reducing the stock on customer 1’s order, which has status “Pending Payment” or “Failure”, and not changing on the front-end, allowing a second customer to try to make the purchase, but receives the message mistake.

What should I do so that orders with status “Pending Payment” or “Failure” do not suffer any kind of change in stock, since the order has not received any form of payment?

    2) In previous versions of woocommerce, when this problem happened, we changed the status of “Pending Payment” or “Failure” orders to “CANCELED” manually, and the problem seemed to be resolved. Which was already horrible because we would have to cancel several orders that did not receive any payment.

In the most current version of woocommerce, changing the status of these orders “Pending Payment” or “Failure” to “Canceled”, products are getting low on stock.

In other words, an order that is in “Pending Payment” or “Failure” status when canceled is written off in stock. And it is informed by woocommerce in the order notes, which suffered an “Adjust Stock”.

    This cannot happen either.

We need a solution for these 2 problems, because it has caused several problems, I hope it helps us.

It is happening on 3 of our sites, and we have already tested the uninstallation of all plugins, and on topics recommended by woocmommerce. We use the most recent versions of woocommerce and wordpress.

    Thanks

  • Hey
We are suffering from the same problem too in our website, but it seems to appear randomly on orders that are either canceled or orders that were on Pending payment however it doesn’t appear on all orders that were canceled. It’s causing us a huge stock problem when we revise our stock, we find most of it missing 1 piece in the woocomerce system.

    The problem goes like this:

    * suppose we have 1 item in stock
    * The costumer order the item
    * the item goes from 1 to 0 in stock
    * the order goes automatically to processing
    * when we cancel the order * a note indicates that the stock has been updated and the item goes from 0 to 1 and the order is cancelled
    * just after this note another note says strong>stock adjusted/strong> and it re adjust the stock from 0 to 1 by its own and showing to potential buyers that this item is out of stock while it’s in our real stock.

this problem happened too many times we had to adjust more than 50 items were wrong in our stock and it keep happening.

Any help from the support team?

    Hello @osamabch,

There is a built-in feature that lets you set how long unpaid orders will be allowed to remain before they are canceled.

You can find this by going to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Inventory. The “Hold stock (minutes)” setting lets you set how long these should remain before they are canceled.

    inventory

Once an order is canceled, it should release any stock that has been held by it.

What do you have set in the hold stock box now?

    Thanks

    Hi @osamabch,

It’s been a while since we heard from you, so I’m marking this thread resolved. Hopefully, you’ve been able to resolve this, but if you haven’t, please open up a new topic and we’ll be happy to help out.

    Cheers

    Good morning..

Just for information reason, unfortunately I believe that this would not be the solution to the problem of @osamabch nor to my question. The problem has not been solved. Thank you
