STL viewer not working?

  • After installation of the Embed STL plugin, where does the STL viewer show up? In the media library after uploading an SLT? If so, no viewer shows up, just the name of the uploaded STL file.

    Or would the STL viewer show up, if I create an online form where someone could upload a STL. I created such a form and can upload an STL, but no viewer shows up.

    Maybe I am doing it wrongly. After installation of the plugin, is there a need to configure anything in addition?

    Any help much appreciated.

    So this is meant to display an STL inside a post. It doesn’t provide a preview for the media library, though that’s a good idea to eventually explore.

    The use would be to add it as a block to a post (/STL to find it) and select an STL from the media library, then you can configure the display.

    Many thanks @mmdoogie. Maybe I am too unexperienced, but I don’t know how to implement it exactly. Do you mean to add it on a page e.g. by upload in an online form? Or do you have an example page or code that might give me more insights?

    Step 1 is upload STL file to the media library
    Step 2 is add the block to a post or page
    Step 3 is select which STL file to display
    Step 4 is configure how it should be displayed in the post

    So I think when you are building your post and adding blocks, you might be unfamiliar with what block to look for. Try searching the term STL and it should show.

    Hi @mmdoogie and @dentedprinter. Many thanks for your answers and help. Much appreciated. Finally, I’ve managed to implement it. The problem was, that I am using “Elementor” in WordPress and there I have not found the new ‘Block’ option for the ‘Embed STL’ plugin. Eventually I’ve found it in the WordPress editor. Yeah!
