  • Same issues here. I’m glad I only updated one site and not the other 21 sites that use this plugin.

    Hi,

please check if the version 3.0.10 fix your problem.

    regards,
    Robert

I just updated a site from 3.0.8 to 3.0.10. After updating, the plugin was deactivated with no error message or explanation. I reactivated it, and everything looks OK; existing jobs survived, and I can create new jobs. The “annoying message” (BackWPup promo page) is still there.

    Hi Chad,

the promo page will only appear after activations. We will think about to display this message only after a new install.

    regards,
    Robert

@oomjan Looks like the connection between server and Dropbox doesn’t cope with the size of your backup. Try setting Maximum number of retries for job steps (in Settings->Jobs) to 10. If that doesn’t fix it, please consider splitting up your one backup job into multiple smaller ones.

Exactly the same issue here. No errors, no email.

Log shows identically to that mentioned above zip is not in location locally or @ dropbox?

Used to work perfectly now it just does nothing, also same issue with abort link – not aborting job and admin bar shows running constantly.

Help appreciated! Is there any resolution to these issues (yes I tried the settings changes recommended in the two linked posts) – no joy

    same problem with Ashley ..

on the same site, I installed backwpup, new and works perfectly

sites that do not work, we performed backwpup update

I uninstall the plugin and I installed it back but without success, the program still does not work

probably not uninstall completely, keeps some files in our database

    Follow up:

Since the upload to DropBox via the plugin does not work or only after a very long time I now backup to a restricted folder (not accessible to the public) and then start the DropBox client on the server to sync that folder to my DropBox storage. That works fine for me.
