• As a paying customer of the original Plugin created by Skyverge we have been very put out by this “alternative” that WooCommerce have suggested we use.

We have been talking to WooCommerce support and was told that UK support would be here at the end of February 2017 at the latest. We are nearly at the end of March and still no UK support.
This is ridiculous from a company that want us to trust their platform.

What do we tell our clients who are invested in using Braintree payments? “Sorry, the plugin we are using is outdated and no longer supported, there is also no other alternative”.

This is a real failing on WooCommerce’s part, they want us to use their platform but casually let down users like us. How can you expect your product to be taken seriously if you do this?!! This is not enterprise/serious business behaviour.

  • That is so disappointing! I am just on the verge of launching a new website and was just approved by Braintree, I didn’t know that this didn’t work for us in the UK. I’ve only used PayPal and Stripe up until now so unless I can get started with this or something else I may have to launch with them.

Hi Ladyfyre, I have been informed by WooCommerce support that their official plugin now supports the UK.
We have found it lacking in it’s ability to select what payment cards you can take. As such staying with the original Skyverge plugins (still works even with WC 3), and hoping that Skyverge will re-release the plugin.

That said it may be of help to you: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-powered-by-braintree/

    Hope you get sorted ??
