I have a site with 60GB of files in my “uploads” folder under “wp-content”. I’m going crazy trying to configure a back up that does NOT include all of those files (just too large and takes too long) but I want to back up everything else. So I’m in the “test” phase. Unfortunately every time I screw up it takes “hours” of deleting zipped sets before things stop. I’ve installed the Crontrol plug-in and, as instructed, deleted the ‘updraft_backup_resume’ task but noting seems to stop… the Last log message window still keeps ticking away and the sets keep building. Now what?
    Thanks.

    Hi BioGuy,

To stop a backup that’s in progress before it reaches the next resumption, just kill off the associated PHP process from the command-line.

    Best wishes,
    David
