Still getting emails after manually removing

I subscribed my email to a category to test everything was working properly and it worked perfectly. I got an email notice every time there was a post or an edit to a post within that subscribed category (although I wish it only sent an email on the original publishing of the post). But I digress… Everything was set up and appeared to be working so in the admin backend, I removed myself from the subscribed category. However, even though I am not listed as subscribed to any category, I still get emails anytime a new post is added or edited. I could go into the SQL but I don’t think it’s meant to work that way.

Any ideas?

(Unrelatedly, a feature request: Having the option to remove oneself via the frontend form would be brilliant)
