• A couple of weeks ago I started getting twice daily emails about the cache size “Autoptimize’s cache size is getting big, consider purging the cache.”

But when I’d login, the cache size was fine, and not close to needing purging.

The emails kept coming even though I purged the cache anyway.

I deactivated and uninstalled the plugin.

I’m still getting the cache emails. How do I turn off the bubble machine?

If the plugin is deactivated and even uninstalled it cannot send mails anymore, so logically that would mean you have it running on another site as well somewhere somehow?

No, I don’t. And the emails are specific as to what site they’re referring to. I just double checked. It’s the site I uninstalled the plugin from.

The logic to send the mail is in plugins/autoptimize/classes/autoptimizeCacheChecker.php, if Autoptimize (and that file) have been deleted, then I’m afraid I have absolutely no idea how the mail could still be sent ckclarke ..

The only thing I can think of; maybe install wp crontrol for a second and remove the ao_cachechecker cron event?
