• Hello there, I was expecting that I could include the signature as an image file to my admin mails, by placing the according shortcode into the attachments field.

    This is the code I am using for the signature field:

    <label> Signatur
    [signature* signature-mg color:#000000 backcolor:#dddddd width:600 height:200] </label>

    And then I place the shortcode into “attachments”:

    [signature-mg]

    But I am always receiving an email without attachment.

    I checked plugin incompatibilities by disabling all other plugins except CF7 and Digital Signature For CF7, and switched to default theme, still same result: no email attachment. WordPress 6.2.1, CF7 5.7.6, PHP 8.2
    To make sure I checked with file upload, attachments work in general.

    I do now include the signature in a HTML Email like below:

    <img src="[signature-mg]">

    As the signatures be stored on the server indefinitely (correct?) and not deleted after about an hour like CF7 file uploads behaviour, this is okay for now. But I think attaching the signature should work too?

    I am currently evaluating this plugin as a potential solution for a client, and I am also not seeing the signature file included as an attachment. Thank you @w-sky for the workaround of including an image, but I do have concerns of signature files being left on the server.

    @w-sky Thanks for the workaround. It works perfectly.
