• I don’t know if they consider it a feature or a bug, or just a reason to upgrade to the pro version, but it sends the wrong OG data to FB. I shared a post about a week or so ago, and it showed fine. I shared a post today, similar in theme but totally different URL, title, description — instead, OG sent the same info to FB as the last time, and the debugger tool on FB found tons of errors in the page. So my post which last week was about what if you could teleport anywhere in the world showed in the preview again this week even though the post this week was about a totally different title and topic (hypotheticals about war). Disabled the plugin, everything works fine again. Pass…

    Hi @polywogg

    So sorry to hear that.

If you’ve disabled the plugin, and now it works, then something else must be outputting open graph tags for your web page, and having Open Graphite activated would have just added duplicate open graphs and probably messed things up for Facebook and other sites that scrape pages for open graph tags. That’s just a theory though, I don’t know your web page URL and so I can’t see the source code to confirm (and you’ve deactivated the plugin anyway). But rest assured, I’m currently running it on 23 websites that I manage and they all send the correct data to Facebook every time, on every page and post that I set it on. No errors in the debugger either.

I wish I had the opportunity to help you with this before hitting it with 1 star.

But that’s cool, your experience is your experience.

    Good luck all the same.
