    Hi @528491-1,

Thanks for your inquiry, this is very useful for us ??
We’ll need another information which is your PHP error LOG. When you trigger a 5xx error in your Chrome Console, it’s a PHP issue (something wrong in our plugin). Can you try again to optimize your library, and when you’ll have your Browser error, Copy/paste your PHP logs, we should fix that quickly.

    Cheers,
    Charles

Thank you for replying. I am supposing the snippet error log I already posted (https://snippi.com/s/dojg3g0) isn’t sufficient? You need a new one?

    Hi @528491-1

The snippet you provide is the error in the Javascript console, showing a 500 error (which is a server issue). Now, to go further, we will need PHP error log which will reveal the origin of the error.

Ask your hosting provider to give you these errors, after retrying to optimize through our plugin.

    Hope it will help ??
    Cheers,

Hello, thank you for following up, the problem is that my entire Library is now correctly optimised, so I cannot recreate the situation where I need to bulk reSmush the entire Library, to trigger the errors once again. Perhaps I can ask you to keep this thread open until I create a brand new website which will need a bulk resmush?

    Hi @528491-1,

Another solution is to change the quality level (for example from 92 to 91), it will allow to reoptimize your whole library.

    Keep us update ??

    Cheers,
    Charles

    Hello,

Unfortunately, the Google console now only gives Error 500 in each of the 3 passes when I made it to reSmush it from 92 to 91. Perhaps images need to be ‘virgin unoptimized by reSmushit’ in order for Error 505 to actually appear? Certainly ‘3 passes’ pattern is a constant. (1st pass stops at xx%, 2nd pass clock icon spinning forever, 3rd pass it completes the process).

However, I looked up for the original error logs on my cPanel for the specific site and I found archived logs from the exact day of my original post (April 5th 2020), for the specific site in question:
    https://snippi.com/s/ei0cedx
(Note: everything in parenthesis is to mask the actual data, for privacy purposes)

    Is this data helpful?

    Note:
I excluded the following data from the error log list, presuming it has nothing to do with reSmushit plugin:

    GET /robots.txt HTTP/1.1
    GET / HTTP/1.1
    GET /index.php HTTP/1.1
    GET /?action=yith-woocompare-add-product&id=(idnumber) HTTP/1.1
    POST /wp-cron.php?doing_wp_cron=(hash) HTTP/1.1
    GET /(path-to-category-product)/?add_to_wishlist=(id-number)&add-to-cart=(id-number) HTTP/1.1
    GET /shop/?add-to-cart=(id-number)&add_to_wishlist=(id-number) HTTP/1.1
    GET /humans.txt HTTP/1.1
    GET /ads.txt HTTP/1.1

    Hi @528491-1 ,

Thanks for your investigation, you provide the cPanel access log (requests made to your website), you should have another log (called Apache Error log or PHP error log), which logs every webserver error. If you can provide us this log, it would be really helpful.

    Cheers,
    Charles

    Hello,
I requested these logs from the provider. At the moment, from my side, I can only view the last 300 log entries under cPanel > Metrics > Error (I would guess these are the Apache logs) and they seem unrelevant, they all print out:

    [(date-and-time)] [access_compat:error] [pid (id-number):tid (id-number)] [client (client-address)] (hashtext): client denied by server configuration: /home/(domain)/admin

    [(date-and-time)] [access_compat:error] [pid (id-number):tid (id-number)] [client (client-address)] (hashtext): client denied by server configuration: /home/(domain)/wp-login.php

    Hi @528491-1,

These 2 entries seems not to be linked to our plugin as it’s classical WP endpoints. Have you anything more related to the plugin ?

    Cheers,
    Charles

    Hello,
unfortunately I do not at this time. I plan to setup a temporary faux copy of this same website on my own server to recreate the initial Errors, hopefully the log will write them, then I’ll post back here. Thank you for checking in regularly.
