    I am assuming that you:

    1. Created a new page from the WordPress dashboard i.e. Pages / Add New
    2. Entered some text
    3. Click on “view page” from the admin panel
    4. Copy & paste that URL – add it here so I can take a look

If you can access that URL from a browser, then that is the correct URL to enter into the Cookie Policy field. If you get a 404 entering that URL into a browser, then the issue is with the way you created the page, and is not related to this plugin.

Even if I type “cookie” into your search box, no results come back. That suggests to me that you haven’t correctly created a WordPress page for the cookie policy. Note that you should create a _WordPress_ page, not by clicking “Cookie Law Info / Add New”.

Hopefully that will help you to get it working

    All the best,
    Richard

Hi Richard, I followed the user guide and in there it says to use add new by clicking Cookie Law/Add New.
However, I already concluded that I perhaps could solve the problem by using page from the dashboard after I talked to someone with the exact same problem. He solved it like that, after he had followed that user guide and encountered the same error.

Anyway, I just wanted to make one when I read your e-mail, so that was excellent timing and thank you very much for posting this solution. I would advise you to post this one in your frequently asked questions or user guide so that nobody else will ask you the same. Saves you a lot of time.

Everything is working perfectly now and I can tell you that one of the main Facebook wordpress support pages in the Netherlands recommends your plug-in as one that is user-friendly for both designer and website visitor.

    Best regards,
    Kalo
