Sticky posts issue

Hi,

I’ve set option to show 6 posts in homepage and archives, but on my homepage I don’t want to have the last 6 posts, but 6 different posts, that I will choose as sticky posts.
What happens when I set some posts as sticky, they show on homepage and in addition there are the last 6 posts..
How can I have the homepage show maximum of 6 posts – those that are sticky, and recent posts if have less than 6 sticky posts, and no more in 6 posts on the homepage anyway..
