    hi there,

i am using the free theme.
I have a category called “News” which is updated daily.
Sometimes I post special news, which I want to keep stick in the widget overview. This is not working. The “ignore stick posts” doesn’t seem to work when deactivated or activated….sticky posts are only stick when I visit the category site itself but not on the overview.

    Greetings.

    Hi q3wolfi,

thanks for using MH Magazine lite.

If you want to have sticky posts on top of the posts within your widgets, you would need to uncheck the option “Ignore Sticky Posts” and also set the category filter in the widget to “All”.

Sticky posts won’t be displayed on top when you have selected a category in the widget because WordPress doesn’t support sticky posts on a per category basis out of the box.

    Thanks, this helped!

Now i noticed, then I am choosing “one article”, it displays two (with one sticky).

Yes, that’s because sticky posts are being displayed in WordPress through an additional query and the post count only knows about the regular query within your widget. The sticky posts will be added on top of that.
