I thought a sticky post was supposed to stay on the front page regardless of date if the sticky box is checked. Mine is not doing that.

  • Hi @lannyherbwalkscom,
Thank you so much for using our theme Magazine 7.
Yes, if you make the post sticky, it should be in the top, however, that is sticky on the blog page. If you have blog page as front page, then the sticky post should be sticky in the top of that page.
So, would you please verify once or share the site URL so that we can also give a look.

    Thank you

Thanks. The site is HerbWalks.com.I have event posts in the slider at the top of the home page. Below that are the blog posts. The sticky one “Sustainable Foraging” is not showing because I added a new post and it was knocked off the page.

    Hi,
As we said before, if you have the static front page, the sticky post will be sticky on the blog page. Your post “Sustainable Foraging” is on the top of the blog page. See here, https://herbwalks.com/blog/

For the custom section of the static front page the sticky post will not be on the top.

Please let us know if you have any further queries.

    Thank you

Okay. I understand now. I’m not using the standard static front page. So there’s no code that could allow it to stick to the front of the featured posts section where it’s located on my home page? Final question, then I’ll leave you alone. Thanks.

    Hi,
Actually, for the custom front page, it is not possible to do that. It’s a WordPress features and can’t applied it.

If you need to do it on the front page, you need to customize the theme.

    Thank you
