I finally got the header not to stretch across the page by putting it into the main group block. However, now the stick function isn’t working so that the title and menu aren’t fixed at the top of the page and scrolling down scrolls it out the top. Is there a way to fix that without pulling the header out of the group block?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @oscarguy – looking at the site I’m not seeing anything Sticky at the moment. Are you able to put the order of blocks back in place so I can see it working the way you describe?

For the ‘Sticky’ option to work – it needs to be applied to a block that is at the top level (ie. not nested inside any other blocks).

That’s the answer, it’s nested. I moved it into the group block so I could limit its width. If there were a way to set the width of the header block outside of the nesting, then that would be nice.

Hi @oscarguy – the best workaround I can suggest for that is to:

    • Select your Header template part – and then ‘Group’ it. (So you end up with Group > Header).
    • Set the width you’d like on the Group block (so the contents are constrained)
    • Set the Group block to be sticky.

Could you please give that a try?

Thanks. I created a group above the main block, then added the header block to that. It makes sense now that I think of it. The main block being “sticky” would mean it wouldn’t “stick” until you reached the bottom of that section rather than the top part of the block sticking.
