I’ve set the sticky element to “#sticky_menu” and I’ve set the ID for an entire Cornerstone section to “sticky_menu” but the plugin doesn’t seem to be making the section sticky. IT just scrolls off the screen as usual.

The Corenerstone section in question contains 6 buttons; one in each of 6 columns.

    What am I missing here?

The idea is to simply get the buttons to remain at the top of the page as you scroll down the page.

    Thanks

  • So there’s a few things I notice.

First, the ID sticky_menu is not set on the entire section you mention, but only on the link “Cafe Hours”, as you can see here:

Second, that element does become sticky when it hits the top of the screen, but is obscured by the green bar. So, in order to make it show, I would add a value of 70 to the “space between sticky element and top of screen” in the plugin settings, so that it sticks lower than that.

    Thanks for the response.

I made some changes while troubleshooting after I made this post. That’s why “sticky_menu” was in a different place.

I adjusted the spacing and changed the ID for the menu section to “sticky_menu,” and I can now get the section to stick correctly, but none of the buttons in the section work while the menu is stuck, which obviates the purpose of having a sticky menu.

Is there a way to keep the butts active?

Also, what are the recommended settings to keep things from sticking while using a mobile device? It seems like all screen sizes are different. I guess I’m looking for the best practices method here.
