sticky doesn’t work

    Hi,
    my first news/post was “Welcome” post, and of course I wanted to make it Sticky for some period. therefore I installed WP-Sticky plugin, and I got option to make news/post sticky. so I checked sticky field when I created news. I could see in admin section the title of news: Sticky: Welcome. But when I made second news, Welcome news was anymore sticky(at the top). it means sticky doesn’t work. what should I do?
